One (year) down, One to go...
a long day but everything turned out good. both the ct scan and the mri showed no evidence of any new growth or worrisome abnormalities in my lungs or arm.
this scan marked a special event in the story of my surviving cancer. it has been one year since the surgery to remove the small metastatic nodule from my right lung. (one more to go and i'm out of the "high risk" period after my treatments) it's been well over two years since the first surgery to remove the malignant tumor from my arm. it's been twenty months since i finished chemo. we're starting to get some good numbers here. a positive trend of building time and distance from the horrors and scares and pain.
how glorious to experience the rearrangement of how we measure time.
now, with excitement, we're counting down the months. less than 6 until the amigos are here...less than two until my first niece is born...
we ain't...goin...nowhere...!
