Da Arm

Radiologist said everything looked good again today. The majority of the hair has fallen out of the treated area. No big deal, I can always do fine with a little less body hair.

Here is a picture of the arm so everyone can see that things really are going fine. You'll notice the scar and maybe the slight change in color. Like I said, it was pretty minor. The blue and purple marks are registration marks so the radiation is directed at the same exact area each time. Sorry, no tats. They're just good old fashioned paint pen. (there is a sticker on the center purple crosshair to keep it from coming off)

The second surgery will include the removal of the existing scar which will involve an incision about 1 to 2 cm around the scar, maybe a bit larger at the ends.

Silky smooth arm there, CP. A lot of women pay good money for hair removal. I think a tat to commemorate this might be appropriate once this is all said and done.
Oh and don't worry too much about the lack of dunking skills. Next time we get together, I'll help you work on your ups, vertical leap master that I am.
Not too good at the whole "thinking and praying" thing, at least not at the same time. Keep up the humor and the blog. Sorry that it took something like this for me to get back in touch with you.

Superman,

A Riddle:

Da Arm looks great! My professional outlook sees you dunking on 9.5 in no time, especially if you have a personal trainer to assist you with improving your ups. You might even get all the way to 10 with some luck. Who knows? I recommend continuing your diet of the best Greek food you can find as often as you can find it, 17 beers daily, plenty of NY style (or any syle) pizza with plenty of tomato sauce, Capri Suns, and maybe some organic selenium and vitamin E if you can find a way to get those that is YUM (read those were good for us somewhere). Your positive attitude coupled with all the love and support from friends and family has to be the best medicine available. Dr. Brainiac or Doctor that Dr. Brainiac respects should have no problem making that scar even sexier. Body hair or any hair for that matter...who needs it? Mine's nearly gone up top, so I'm a big advocate for the shaved look these days (go for it McQueen!), and I've got plenty of the other to appreciate your position on that as well. It's nice to be able to keep up with how things are going on Da Blog, and I'm very glad to hear things are progressing well. I also enjoy seeing so many names I recognize, mostly, but not exclusively from Wake, and reading the postings...it makes me appreciate relationships, remember many great times, and long for reunion. I also recommend the World Cup as a potential short-term replacement of the beloved Hurricanes. The matches should be pretty good from here on out. T (the first one) and I were pledges of the same fraternity. I could make this riddle as hard as an advanced Su Doku (wasn't he in Episode something with Yoda?) puzzle and just sign-off with B, but not many call me that (not one that I can think of from Wake) so that would make it very tough. Therefore, I have to go with H. I thought the poem Suave shared was excellent! C is married! Cheers to that! He came to see me the summer I spent time in Beaufort, the summer after you were there (oops, I might have given it away).

Wishing everyone a wonderful Independence Day weekend!

H
