Crunch time

Ashley and I are heading to Durham tomorrow to meet with the surgeon and the anesthesiologist for a little pre-op pow wow. Everything still appears to be as we thought. Surgery is scheduled for Monday. Hopefully I'll come home Tuesday. There is a possibility I might be in for a bit longer stay if they have to graft any skin to cover the new wound. Either way, I'm geared up with a new laptop, high speed connection, an online poker account, and plenty of Fantasy Football research to do.

We've been doing well. The stress levels have moved up a notch or two as the surgery and chemo approach. Like I've said in earlier posts, I prefer active involvement with the treatment. We've had a nice break to allow my arm to heal from radiation, giving us some needed time to enjoy the summer and forget about the gravity for a while. I am very eager to move into the next stage of treatment and get one step closer to putting this behind me.

Thanks for checking in and all your support.

Clyde,

We'll be thinking about you and praying for your full and speedy recovery.

When you feel up to it, Pam and I would like to go to that Thai place with you and Ashley you told us about over on Capital Blvd.

Anyway, hang in there, buddy.

I talked to Fleming today and she told me about her engagement. It looks like you will be full speed ahead just in time for wedding celebrations in the Spring. I will be praying for you Monday for the surgery to go smooth. I know your family will all be there to support you but please know you have lots of other angels all over the country that will be thinking of you and putting your name at the top of their prayer list.

Best wishes to you, Clyde, during your surgery tomorrow. We'll cover the Pacific time zone as far as prayers & thoughts in your honor go (the Big Man probably doesn't sleep, so why should the prayers & well wishes? :)

You know, Napa's got some pretty swanky port spots - a visit come spring 2007 would be well-deserved! We'd love to see you and Ashley out here in California!

Ashley, all our love to you as well!

Cheers,
Ginny & Justin

Stay strong good buddy. Our prayers and love are with you and Ashley.

By the way, that chemo schedule doesn't hold a candle to your Fall semester jr year. Hopefully you won't want to open up an Ostrich farm after it's over.

Sending healing power from the 'mond,
